Michael Cain, B.Com (Hons), FCA
 Principal, Cain Consulting

Michael is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and Registered Company Auditor with over 33 years professional experience. He is principal of Cain Consulting which is a Melbourne based independent consulting practice specialising in financial reporting, audit and assurance services, litigation support, quality assurance and technical training solutions.

He has worked in public practice as an audit partner with Coopers & Lybrand (Brisbane/PNG) and Lawler Partners (Sydney), and was the National Accounting and Audit Technical Director for Nexia Australia and New Zealand. Michael now assists small and mid-tier accounting firms with technical support on financial reporting and audit matters, professional education for accountants, the development and monitoring of their quality assurance policies and procedures, and auditor litigation.

Michael is a member of the ICAA Quality Review team and has recently been on the Victorian State Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
